Jeremiah 1:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
God’s desire for our lives is to fill our mouths with His truth.
Yet many times we are afraid to speak when He places a word or asks us to speak to someone about what Jesus did for us on the cross.
We must get to the place where we allow God to place things on the inside of us and not bottle them up.
We must be a vessel for Him and His presence. We are His workmanship after all, and should be used for helping lead others to salvation.
- Is there an area you have held back when God placed words in your mouth?
- Is there something you could do to allow God more access into your life so you can hear Him more clearly?
- If so:
- Ask God to forgive you for holding back.
- Ask God to help you yield this area to Him.
