13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
When we place our hope in God, we are placing it in the hope he gave us through His son. He saw that we needed redemption. He then gave us the ultimate gift to help reach Him. He gave up all, so we can live. He saw the potential (in His redemptive action) and it produced hope. He more or less took this and modeled it for us in this action. Because of this we know who we are in Him. No wonder we are told we are made in His image.
We are to take on the image and character of Him.
It is this hope that gives us the rest and joy that we need to face the challenges of everyday life.
He knows that you and I need to be challenged to grow. Because of this He provides an abundance of hope so we can stretch out and grow beyond ourselves through His redemptive grace.
